Psalm 91:11

He will give his angels charge over you

I promise you God has protected you from certain things in the past that you are completely unaware of.

I am thankful for God’s protection!!!

When we make bad choices, many times we are asking God to protect us from ourselves. Today, I want to ask you: “Are you making life giving choices or life taking choices?” You always know you are making a good choice when you can enjoy the choice tomorrow.

The worst choices are those we can only enjoy now.

Be blessed!

Training: Victory

Psalm 108:13

With God we will gain the victory

I hate losing!

Being a Kansas City sports fan at times can be painful. However, in life there is a way we can make sure we win: by partnering with God. If you want to insure you get defeated try running your career, finances, family, or dreams without God. God won’t force us to do anything. And we don’t have to partner with God on anything. But if we want success, the key is to partner with God.

Friend, God wants you to have victory in life, but victory only comes with a real life partnership with God.

Be blessed

Training: Bring Unity

John 17:21

That all of them may be one

This verse is taken from Jesus longest prayer and the subject of his prayer was the unity of Christians.

There is no way that everyone in a church, family, or even marriage can agree on everything. However, we can either be easily offended or we can be hard to offend. We can either be a porcupine person that people are nervous to be around, or we can be a life giving person that people are attracted too.

If you sow joy and grace with others you will reap it. Bring friendship and unity to those who are important to you.

Be blessed

Ephesians 6:18

Be alert and always keep on praying

Don’t stop!

Don’t stop praying for that miracle. Don’t stop praying for that marriage. Don’t stop praying for that financial break through. Don’t stop praying for that child/friend to come to Christ.

Friend right now the devil wants to try to get you to stop praying for that need or concern in your life. Don’t stop!!! You can only be defeated, as a son or daughter of God, if you stop praying.

Be blessed and be a prayer!

Colossians 3:1

Set your hearts on things above

Get your heart out of mediocre dreams!!! I mean it!

God doesn’t want you to be focused on small little piddly plans for your life, marriage, or career. God wants you to set your heart on things above. Today, right now, God wants to pour down blessings and favor on your life, but He can’t do it if your heart is in the wrong place. The more our heart is focused on the things of God the more our lives get overwhelmed by his blessings.

Make sure you heart is in the right place today.

Be blessed

1 Corinthians 15:57

But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ

Do you know you are a Champion!?!

Yes you heard me you are a Champion. You’re not a Champion because I say so or because you say so. No, you are a Champion because God says so! If God gives us the victory then we are Champions!

My challenge to you today is not to walk around like a defeated, weak, nominal Christian. My challenge for you today is to understand God has made you a Champion and that is what you are!

Be blessed and be victorious!

Training: Be the best You

John 3:27

To this John replied, “A man can only receive what is given him from heaven”

We always get in trouble when we try to take things that aren’t ours.

Of course in the retail sense, this is called stealing or robbery. However sometimes we commit a different type of “robbery.” Any time we try to act or be like somebody else we are in a sense trying to “rob” their identity.

Friend God doesn’t want you to be like somebody else. He wants YOU to be the best YOU you can be. So if you are comparing yourself to someone else, cut it out. We should keep our eyes on Christ.

Be blessed!

Don’t we all want amazing out-of-the-box faith? Don’t we want to be the kind of people who believe God has everything under control no matter how bad things look? Can you imagine the kind of peace we would all experience if we had that kind of faith?

This is exactly the kind of faith God wants us to have.

In the beginning it was the lack of trusting God that broke relationship with Him. Ever since then God has been drawing everyone back into a trusting relationship with Himself. God’s desire is to have a relationship of trust with his creation.

Faith and trust are really the same thing in this context.

Trust is the currency of all relationships.

-Andy Stanley

The thing that is the most honoring to me is when the people I love trust me.

“I know dad is 10 minutes late but I’m going to wait right here because he said he would be here and I trust him.”
“I know I haven’t heard from my wife today but I trust her.”

Our faith in God is nothing more than trust. When we trust God in any arena of life we are expressing faith in His power to manage the outcomes in those arenas.

Matthew 8:5-10

5 Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6 saying, “Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented.”
7 And Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”
8 The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

As far as I know, this is the only time recorded in scripture where Jesus was amazed by someone’s faith. If big faith is something God loves too see, then we need to be sure to know what He uses to grow our faith.

During this six week series we will explore the five main things God uses to help us have big faith.

I hope you can join us Sunday morning at 9:00 AM in WC104 right around the corner from the coffee station.

Psalm 95:6

Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker

There is power when we surrender our lives to God.

There is a universal sign that all languages and people groups understand: Placing your hands up is the sign for surrender.

Friend when we surrender our lives to God that is the break through point where we can see him work in our lives to bring healing, blessing, and prosperity. If you are struggling in an area of your life today perhaps there is something you need to surrender to God?

Be blessed

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.

Life basically comes down to two choices: 1) Our Will 2) God’s will

Here are 4 benefits of doing God’s will in our lives.

1) When we do things God’s way we have no regrets.

2) When we do things God’s way we do them right.

3) When we make Godly decisions we can enjoy the decisions tomorrow.

4) When we do things God’s way we are assured that He will bless what we are doing.

Do God’s will in your life today.

Be blessed
