Training: Courage

1 Corinthians 16:13

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong

Friend, doing the wrong thing is easy. It is easy not taking responsibility when we have messed up. It is easy to blame others. It is easy to sin. But it takes courage to do the right thing.

It takes courage to stand up for what you know is right, when everyone seems to be going the wrong direction. This morning why don’t you set the pace for doing what is right? Don’t follow the pack, lead the pack in living in a way that will please God.

Be blessed!

The Take Away: Anybody can follow the pack, it take a person of courage to go the opposite way.

  1. Sometimes I wonder why that’s the case. It’s SO EASY to do the wrong thing. So easy to lie, so easy to be lazy, so easy to be mean… it does take a lot of courage to stand up and do the right thing. Tell the truth, be a hard worker, be kind. But it can be done!

    • Left to itself everything wants to turn to garbage. It takes a positive force to move things in a positive direction.
