Training: Encourage

2 Corinthians 2:7

You ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow

We all need someone in our lives that picks us up when we have messed up.

No price can repay a friend who steps into our lives when all heck has broken loose. Do you know how you get great friends? There is an old saying, “If you want a friend, be a friend.”

I want to encourage you today to look for people in your sphere of life, and try to encourage them today. Someday you will need to be encouraged.

Sow encouragement in others today.

Be blessed

  1. A good word. I think we easily underestimate how important a kind and supportive word given at just the right time can be. I certainly do when it comes to me giving them, though I make an effort to be cognizant of both God’s leading and just the circumstances around me so that I can give an encouraging word when needed.

    • Just Sunday afternoon I blew a chance to be encouraging to one of my daughters.

It is frustrating when an opportunity like that gets missed.
