Training: Suit Up

1 Corinthians 13:4

Love is patient

Patience is not my strong suit. However when it comes to family and friends in our lives patience is a MUST.

One of the indicators that we truly love someone is we show them patience. No doubt this is easier said than done. But we must remember God has been patient with us. God has more times than not blessed us instead of giving us what we deserve.

When you are tempted to be impatient with someone you love remember God is patient with you.

Be blessed

  1. Is it just me or is patience one of the things we men are just not wired for? I’m so thankful God is patient with us. I am glad that God doesn’t sigh aloud, or under his breath, like I often do when I am being impatient but am trying to at least control it to some degree. Lord help me to be TRULY patient, patient with others, patient with You, patient to take life’s circumstances as they come while trying to live out the Word.

    • I have become less patient now than I used to be.

For some reason I feel like I am always in a hurry. I need to be more aware of this and remember to slow down.

  2. I know, I hate that hurried feeling. More than anything it gives me the impression that I need to scale back. And that may be true, but what I really want to do is make sure I’m not just freeing up time to free up time but that I am doing exactly what God wants me to do with my time. Of all the things that test our faith/trust in God, it seems harder for me to give Him my time than anything else, and that is where impatience can rear its ugly head.
